Escape the coast for Togo’s lush Plateaux Region on a private journey from Lomé to Kpalimé and Womé Waterfall. We will pick you up from your hotel or agreed location in Lomé and travel east along the coast to Agbodrafo, historically known as Porto Seguro. Here we will visit the Maison des Esclaves (Woold Home) and learn about the clandestine slave trade associated with the area before continuing towards the shores of Lake Togo for one of the highlights of the day.
We will cross Lake Togo by boat to Togoville, following a route that adds an authentic sense of journey to the experience. In Togoville, we will explore the town’s traditional spiritual heritage, historic cathedral and traces of its German colonial past while learning about the communities surrounding the lake. After returning across the lake, we will travel back to Lomé and return you to your hotel or preferred location. Current Togo itineraries continue to feature Agbodrafo’s slave heritage, Lake Togo crossings and Togoville together.
