Tour Overview

Leave the city behind for an adventurous day in Ghana’s beautiful Eastern Region. We will take you to Boti Falls for a combination of waterfall scenery, forest hiking and unusual natural formations, including the famous Umbrella Rock and Three-Headed Palm Tree. It is a three-in-one attraction comprising the falls, Umbrella Rock and Three-Headed Palm

We will pick you up from your hotel or agreed location in Accra and travel into Ghana’s green Eastern Region towards Boti. On arrival, we will begin the nature experience around Boti Falls, a seasonal twin waterfall surrounded by forest. Approximately 250 concrete steps lead down towards the lower falls, where the landscape becomes especially impressive when the waterfalls are flowing strongly.
The adventure continues through the forest towards Umbrella Rock, an extraordinary naturally balanced rock formation reached by an approximately 45-minute hike, and the unusual Three-Headed Palm Tree, where a single trunk branches into three crowns. After enjoying the scenery, photographs and surrounding natural environment, we will begin our return journey to Accra.

Descend the approximately 250 steps leading towards Boti Falls.
Enjoy the waterfall, forest surroundings and photography opportunities.
Begin the forest hike towards the famous Umbrella Rock.
Explore the rock formation and surrounding elevated natural landscape.
Continue to the unusual Three-Headed Palm Tree attraction.
Return from the forest trail and prepare for departure from Boti.

Boti Falls is seasonal, so water volume varies throughout the year.

Reaching the lower waterfall involves approximately 250 concrete steps.
The Umbrella Rock hike takes approximately 45 minutes each way.
A reasonable level of physical fitness is recommended for the full experience.
Wear comfortable walking shoes suitable for forest paths and uneven terrain.
Bring light clothing, sun protection and a small towel where appropriate.

 Verified Interesting Piece of Slave Trade History The Badagry tour is an interesting addition to the slavery sites along the West African coast. It was a former slave who was given freedom in Brazil and went back to present day Nigeria to organize the departure of more slaves to Brazil.
