Would you like to support a community during your trip? Start the conversation before you travel. Together, we can explore an appropriate community need, agree what you would like to contribute and plan how it can be presented.
You can take part in an agreed in-person handover, or ask Samap to coordinate a presentation and share a video update where the people involved have freely agreed to be filmed.

Discuss the destination and a locally identified need. Support should be useful, welcomed and appropriate to the community.

Agree the items or support, budget, recipient, sourcing and any transport or coordination costs before making a commitment.

Arrange a respectful handover and agree the records or updates you would like to receive.
Where appropriate and agreed with the community, we can discuss adding a presentation to your itinerary. Visits are planned around local availability and the dignity and privacy of the people involved.
If you cannot attend, request a coordinated handover. A video presentation or private update can be arranged where recipients consent; photographs, receipts or a written update may be more appropriate in some cases.
Areas of support include food, clean drinking water, educational materials and practical community supplies, guided by locally identified needs. These are starting points for a conversation, not a list of confirmed programmes.
Please contact us before bringing goods from overseas so suitability, local sourcing, transport and any import requirements can be checked.
Giving is voluntary and is separate from booking a tour or buying merchandise. We will agree the intended recipient, use of the contribution, any coordination costs and available reporting before requesting funds. Filming is optional and requires consent; support is never conditional on someone appearing in a video.

Food, drinking water and educational materials can make a meaningful difference when support responds to what a community needs. Samap Travels Foundation coordinates contributions with visitors and local communities, from planning useful items to arranging their presentation.
This space will share photographs and stories from community donations coordinated by Samap, using the actual images supplied and approved for publication. Each story will describe what was given and where the presentation took place.
