It is always exciting to listen to the tales of this rock that served as a refuge during the inter-tribal wars. The complete Climb without any shortcuts to the top of the rock will take you about 1 hour 30 minutes. There is the option of using the stairs if you don’t want to climb. Olumo is actually derived from “Oluwalomo” meaning “God benevolently molded this rock forour refuge”. In the 19th Century, Olumo Rock served as a rock of offense and a fortress for the people of Egba Land where it housed the Egba warriors for 3 years.
Explore the museum with interesting artifacts. At the base of the rock, there is an Art gallery that feautures some local artworks.
Obasanjo Presidential Library
The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library is more than just a place to read books The presidential library houses a couple of facilities you can visit starting from welcome pavilion that houses Artifacts room and a cinema. The main library building is a museum which gives you insights to Olusegun Obasanjo’s life from childhood to his rise in the army and presidential career. There is also an inspirational and aspirational section of the museum where kids can put on the clothing of different professions and then take a picture of themselves.
Other attractions at the center include a Wildlife Park, Bamboo Grove Bar, Adire & African Fabrics, cultural village, among others
